Blue Focus Marketing® Earns MarketingSherpa’s Reader’s Choice Distinction for “Best Social Media Marketing Blog”

We are very happy to announce that Blue Focus Marketing has been selected as MarketingSherpa’s Reader’s Choice – “Best Social Media Marketing Blog” for 2012!

We are extremely grateful to all of you who got out and voted. It is a tremendous honor to win this award, and the fact that this was a reader’s choice selection makes it feel even better. We were up against some very tough competition in VerticalResponse’s Marketing Blog, and we know the results must have come down to the wire.

When we began Blue Focus Marketing two years ago, our goal was to provide our clients and readers with the latest insights in social media marketing strategies. This community has always had an abundance of very strong voices—such as Tom Pick’s  Webbiquity blog, – Named MarketingSherpa’s 2012 Best B2B Blog, Scott Brinker’s Chief Marketing Technologist blog  – Named MarketingSherpa’s Best Marketing Operations Blog, and Jeff Bullas’ jeffbullas.com blog, as MarketingSherpa’s Best Viral Marketing Blog.  In addition, one of my personal favorites, Scott Goodson’s Uprising blog.  To have this vibrant, innovative community selecting Blue Focus Marketing as a leader in the field of social media marketing is very humbling.

We would like to send a special thank you to Daniel Burstein and the wonderful team at MarketingSherpa. This group has been on the cutting edge for quite a while now, and we are looking forward to teaming up with them for our guest blog in the near future.

As Burstein wrote in his winners announcement, “While trade pubs are certainly still valuable, many marketers now also turn to industry blogs to help them do their jobs better.” The rapid rise of so many talented, innovative industry bloggers is a prime example of the importance of building strong, informed communities in the digital bazaar we all find ourselves in today. We all stand to benefit from this diverse wealth of voices, and I can only hope this culture of exchange and knowledge sharing continues to grow.

Thanks again to everyone for your support. We are proud to be a part of this community, and are excited for what the future might bring!
